Strictly necessary
- Consent cookie — remembers the privacy choice you made so you are not asked again on every page. Kept for up to six months.
- Session cookie — set only when a member of the newsroom signs in to the admin area. Readers never receive it.
Analytics — only with your consent
If analytics is enabled, cookies from our analytics provider help us see which articles are read and how people arrive at the site. They load only after you accept, and never before.
Advertising — only with your consent
Advertising served by an outside network may set cookies to limit how often an ad is repeated and to measure whether it worked. These load only after you accept advertising. Banners we host and count ourselves set no cookies at all.
Changing your mind
Visit privacy settings at any time to change or withdraw your choice. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may then ask for your choice again.
