Advertising never influences what we report. Our newsroom and our advertising are kept apart, and no advertiser sees an article before publication.
Labelling
Every advertisement is labelled. Sponsored articles carry a clear "Sponsored content" marker at the top so you always know who paid for what you are reading.
What we accept
We accept display banners and clearly labelled sponsored content. We do not accept advertising that is deceptive, that opens windows or notifications you did not ask for, that promotes illegal products, or that would be unsuitable next to news.
Ad networks
Some advertising is served by outside networks. Those ads load only after you have agreed to advertising cookies, and you can withdraw that at any time on the privacy settings page. Banners we host ourselves set no cookies.
